Naming Ponies

hi everyone. i recently started, i have four ponies and i already am having trouble naming my ponies. sooooo i'd like to ask how you guys get ideas for naming them :)

I chose names from sites such as 20000names.com or from books, audio books, series and movies.
If it's a pure pony, I add an (*) for every pure colour.
If it's a misty pony, I add a (-) for every misty colour. :)

Being somewhat of an aspiring fantasy novelist, I have no problem with character names, especially unique-ish ones. In fact I have a folder for ponies I got only because I imagined my characters in pony-form. My current favourite names are Ceralia and Naienne for the girls, and Jian and Kitarren for the boys.
About new names, I just take a regular name and tweak it a little. Like Michael becomes Maiken. Ceralia came from the 'plain' name Sarah. And of course, nothing wrong with borrowing a few names from books and movies (one of my fave ponies is named after one of my favourite bands)

so far i've been naming them by my own story names (yeah i write stories) and from animes i've watched :P

thanks a lot and alette , i may try that :D
