I was wondering if anybody would like to share some New Year's Resolutions :P I don't have any but I find it very inspiring to hear what other people would like to do or change :D

i thought of taking part in the Reader's Challenge but I read too slowly to finish it in one year :v It would probably kill the pleasure of reading in my case. But I'll probably use the ideas from that challenge while choosing next books to read :) Like "Book released in the year you were born" or "First book of a popular writer" or "A book which is more that 100 years old".

I don't do new years resolutions like most people I think. My best friend and I use to sit down and write 2 lists. On the first we list things we have accomplished during the year that we're proud of, we also list things we're grateful of that has happened to us. On the second list we list things we want to accomplish during the next year. It's fun and sometimes an eye opener. There are so many great things happening that we forget if we don't write them down. I can strongly recommend this :)

Thanks for sharing this idea, Giz! :D It reminds me of an idea a friend told me about. You write down on a small piece of paper what good happened or what made you happy the very same day it happened and you put every one of these pieces in a box or a jar. Then on New Year's Eve you read all those good events :) I've also heard of a version where you should find at least one good thing every day - it's more about learning how to think positively :)
I would probably have a problem to recall what happened during all year (because sometimes I can't tell if something happened a year ago or three years ago :v ), so the method with a box would probably be better for me.
I would definitely like to try something like these one day ^^
